Collections contains items which were collected by Steven W. Brown (also known as Rogen S. Brown), dating from 1974 to around 1990. Most items relate to the history of Brooklyn, or to the brownstone revival movement of the 1960s to the 1980s. The Brooklyn neighborhoods of Clinton Hill and Fort Greene are especially well represented in the collection.

The collection contains Back to the City conference programs (1974-1978), 1983 Brooklyn Bridge centennial memorabilia (Washington Roebling poster, a pennant, commemorative book, and ephemera), Clinton Hill house tour tickets (1983), Fulton Street Mall opening memorabilia (1982), "Weeksville: Then & Now" booklet (1983), "The Hill" newsletters (1983-1989), Fort Greene/Clinton Hill chronology of neighborhood development (1984), Brooklyn Historical Society "Another Side of Brooklyn's Renaissance" exhibition booklet (1986), and The Lefferts Laidlaw House report (circa 1990).
