Historical note

P.S. 50 John D. Wells School was located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. As of 2011, it is now a junior high school--J.H.S. 50 John D. Wells School.

Scope and Contents

The P.S. 50 John D. Wells School certificates and photograph consists of two certificates and one oversized photograph. The certificates were awarded to Jeanette Brown from P.S. 50 John D. Wells School, 1918. One certificate acknowledges the securing of subscriptions to the Third Liberty Loan, and the other certificate was awarded as an honor promotion. The photograph is an oversized black-and-white group portrait showing the 1918 graduating class at P. S. 50 John D. Wells School in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
