Abstract

School records and certificates of Gerard J. Schwarz and his mother, Eva Rohman. Schwarz attended P.S. 137, J.H.S. 73 William J. Morrison, Boys High, Brooklyn Evening Technical High School, and war training courses at Pratt Institute during World War II. Rohman attended Central Evening High School for Women.

The certificates from Pratt and Brooklyn Evening Technical High School are photostat copies.

Related Materials

The original accession included a pin and medal from J.H.S. 73 which were cataloged separately under the object ID number prefix M1986.22. It also included two yearbooks - Schwarz'z from Boys HS, January 1943, and his wife's from Franklin K. Lane, January 1949 - as well as four pages from the J.H.S. 1940 yearbook. These were added to the Brooklyn schools collection (CBHM.0006).

An additional gift from Schwarz of advertising material for Brooklyn businesses (2001.033) was added to the Brooklyn Historical Society ephemera collection (ARC.272).
