This series includes records such as personal business and financial papers, contracts with lecture agencies, and financial records relating to Plymouth Church business and the Henry Ward Beecher Memorial Association. Of special interest are financial records relating to the construction of the Memorial and the Plymouth Institute, and papers relating to the Alberini timber bonds, which were a major element in Hillis's financial difficulties. A budget sheet for the Mayflower Mission Soup Kitchen operated by Plymouth Church in 1914 is also included.
