This collection contains personal papers of Mabel Donnison Myers, including correspondence, receipts, genealogical notes, and papers concerning a piece of property at Huntington Beach, Long Island.

Biographical note

Mabel Donnison Myers was born January 5, 1881 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England to Frederick G. Myers and Leah Farey. She immigrated to New York with her family in 1888, and lived in Brooklyn until her death in 1964. Her addresses in Brooklyn included 154 Lincoln Place in Park Slope as well as 1 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains personal papers of Mabel Donnison Myers, including correspondence, receipts, genealogical notes, and papers concerning a piece of property at Huntington Beach, Long Island. Much of the correspondence is from Myers's brother Walter (Walt) and her sister Ellen (Nell). Other correspondence relates to financial matters as well as Myers's work as a draper and a maker of curtains and lampshades. There are also documents related to her employment at AT&T.
