Abstract
One 1826 contract between the Trustees of the Village of Brooklyn and Michael Tally of New York City and Owen Tally and James Gildersleeve of the Village of Brooklyn to pave and grade James, Garrison, and Merceiu Streets.
Historical note
Under Chapter 193 of the Act passed on April 9, 1824 by the Village of Brooklyn Board of Trustees, bids and contracts were required to grade and pave streets. Michael Tally, Owen Tally, and James Gildersleeve were the three individuals hired by the Trustees to perform the grading and paving work.
