Scope and Contents
This collection consists of three deeds involving members of the Willetts family (also spelled Willets and Willits in the deeds) of Queens County, N.Y. Included are a deed for land in Oyster Bay sold by Thomas Bound to Jacob Willetts; a deed for land in Jericho owned by Jacob Willetts and sold to his brothers Richard and Amos Willetts; and a deed for land in Jericho owned by Richard Willets and given to his son Richard Willets, Jr. Documents date from the period 1719 to 1801. Both Jericho and Oyster Bay would become part of Nassau County, Long Island in 1898.
