Abstract
One bound volume containing a handwritten copy of the records of the First Church of Christ in Southold, Long Island, for the period 1694 to 1853. The copy was created by J.W. Huntting in 1858.
Historical Note
The First Church of Christ in Southold, Long Island was founded in 1640 as a Presbyterian congregation under the leadership of the Reverend John Younges (Youngs) of Southwold, England. As of 2011, the church continues to serve the Southold community under the name of the First Presbyterian Church of Southold.

Scope and Contents
One bound volume containing a handwritten copy of the records of the First Church of Christ in Southold, Long Island, for the period 1694 to 1853. The volume includes lists of baptisms, communions, covenants, deaths, and marriages, along with references to free and enslaved African Americans. An index of family names covered in the records is also included. The copy was created by J.W. Huntting in 1858.
