Scope and Contents

Series 6: Scrapbooks includes six Long Island Historical Society scrapbooks dating from 1863 to 1963. These scrapbooks document the Society's early activities through newspaper clippings, invitations, tickets, and other ephemera. The series also includes loose scrapbook pages primarily from the late 1960s to 1977, which largely consist of newspaper clippings. Additionally, there are two scrapbooks documenting the Society's natural history collection from 1876-1899.
