Abstract

The Storm and Kolyer families papers and photographs span the years 1835 to 1918. Included in the collection are genealogical notes, land indentures, a bond, a marriage certificate, a jury duty summons, a wedding invitation, a church dismission for David Storms, correspondence pertaining to genealogy, a receipt for the purchase of fabric, a Kings County Supreme Court announcement for the auctioning of land in the Town of New Lots in Brooklyn, a baptism certificate, news clippings of obituaries relating to the Storm and Kolyer families, and photographs.

Biographical note

The Storm and Kolyer families lived in what is now the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y. David Storm (1789-1839) married Jane Furman (1794-1837) on January 25, 1816.
