Scope and Contents

This series contains materials from 1905-1956 and undated materials. This series consists of the widest variety of materials and also has the largest number of oversized items including various posters, sheet music, and his primary school and communion certificates from St. Anthony's of Padua Roman Catholic Church and School. The remainder of the series contains report cards from St. John's College, personal correspondence, receipts, records of his World War I service and his subsequent veteran insurance benefits, his father's plumbing business records, many periodicals, programs and bulletins from local catholic organizations and various New York City theaters, and sheet music. Although the collection provides a number of programs from St. Francis College commencements and events, Carley's affiliation with St. Francis College is unstated.
