Scope and Contents

Contains papers regarding the estate of Alexander Wolf, including business correspondence and canceled checks from Wolf's Shoes. Also contains the following items from the Wolf Shoe Store: two pairs of metal shoe trees, one wooden shoe stretcher, cobbler tools, and one metal bracket labeled "Home Shoe Shiner." There is also a ledger book containing accounts for rental properties at 1007 and 1009 Flushing Avenue (circa 1928-1939). The papers also include receipts and correspondence regarding general expenses (fuel, Con Ed, telephone) and maintenance for a home at 1508 Sheepshead Court (circa 1950s), as well as miscellaneous material regarding a home at 3310 Shore Parkway (sold 1959). This series also includes information, application forms, practice tests, a study book for civil service stenographer/typist positions (circa 1950s) and correspondence regarding payment for secretarial work.
