The Visiting Nurse Association of Brooklyn was a charitable organization that provided home health service for residents of Brooklyn, New York. The collection consists of annual reports (1919-1935, 1962) and a program and seating list of the Diamond Jubilee Dinner Dance (1963).
Historical note
The Visiting Nurse Association of Brooklyn was a charitable organization that provided home health service for residents of Brooklyn, New York. Originally established as the District Nurse Committee of the Red Cross Society of Brooklyn in 1890. It was later renamed the Red Cross Instruction and District Nursing Society. In 1901 the organization became the self-governing District Nursing Committee of the Brooklyn Bureau of Charities. It was incorporated as an independent organization in 1919.
