Scope and Contents
This series includes materials related to the Jerome S. Coles Sports Center, which opened in 1981 and closed in 2016. The Center was the main location for NYU's department of athletics and intramural sports. Materials in this series consist of club and class schedules and brochures, club correspondence and photographs, general correspondence, and information on class and club memberships. Also included are brochures and schedules from other NYU athletic facilities that existed before the construction of the Center and from other facilities, mainly Chelsea Piers, which provided spaces for clubs and classes in the mid-1990s.
