This series contains correspondence, reports, budgets, and publications accumulated by the President's office from federal and state government departments and agencies which impacted NYU during the 1980s and early 1990s. Material dates from 1965 to 1990 and contains information on specific federal departments including the Department of Labor; Department of Defense; and Department of the Interior, as well as agencies including U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA); and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Files in this series also contain information generated by the U.S. House of Representatives, the Senate, and New York State Senate and Assembly. Additionally, this series includes subject files containing reports and other publications on student loans, taxes, and drugs in schools.
