About this Guide
Processing Information
At the time of accessioning, materials were placed in new acid-free folders and boxes and described to the collection-level.
At the time of accessioning the accretion, materials from accession 2019.010 were placed in acid-free boxes. A portion of the collection's content was foldered, while other printed materials remained unfoldered, but housed in appropriately sized acid-free containers. Original caption information, when available, was transcribed onto acid-free archival folders. The archivist maintained the original order of the Box Content List, but certain materials were consolidated and included a Materials Separation Sheet that recorded these transfers.
Electronic records on CD-R format have been imaged, analyzed, and arranged in Forensic Toolkit and Exact Audio Copy. New York University Libraries follows professional standards and best practices when imaging, ingesting, and processing born-digital material in order to maintain the integrity of the content.
