Abstract

This collection comprises the personal papers of Mary Agnes Brady, graduate student in the School of Education, Health, Nursing, and the Arts Professions (now the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development). This collections contains class notes, papers, and assignments relating to theater history, theory, and performance.

Biography of Mary Agnes Brady

Mary Agnes Brady was a masters student in the School of Education, Health, Nursing, and the Arts Professions concentrating in theater. She earned a Master of Arts degree in 1939. Prior to attending New York University, Brady received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in 1934.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains papers, play scripts, stage set designs, costume designs, scrapbooks and course notes by Mary Agnes Brady, a 1939 graduate of the School of Education. Brady's class notes consist of the history, theory, and practice of theater. The two scrapbooks in the collection contain images of costumes and set layouts designed by Brady as well as a script of Romeo and Juliet edited by her.
